واکاوی پالیمسست‌های فرهنگی در آثار نویسندگان ایرانی دور از وطن:موردپژوهی فریدون اسفندیاری و فیروزه جزایری دوما

چکیده

این مقاله با تکیه بر استعاره‌ی پالیمسست کنش داستان‌نویسی نویسندگان ایرانی دور از وطن را واکاوی ‌می‌کند و نشان می‌دهد که آنان فرایند ترجمه‌شدن خود به سوژه‌‌های دیاسپورایی را چگونه روایت می‌کنند و از این رهگذر چگونه پالیمسست‌های فرهنگی و ادبیات لهجه‌دار تولید می‌کنند. برای این منظور، متون پالیمسستی دو نویسنده‌ی ایرانی مقیم آمریکا را که به ترتیب به دیاسپورای ایرانی پیش از انقلاب و پس از انقلاب تعلق دارند، با رویکرد «قرائت تنگاتنگ» مورد خوانش قرار می‌دهیم وخودبیانگری آنان را از منظر سیاست هویتی تحلیل می‌کنیم. این دو نویسنده که نمونه‌ای خصیصه‌نما از سوژه‌های دیاسپورایی پیشا و پساانقلاب هستند، عبارت‌اند از فریدون اسفندیاری و فیروزه جزایری دوما. در این تحلیل نشان می‌دهیم که این دو نویسنده در کنش روایی خود چگونه دنیای ایرانی را به ترتیب به دنیای کافکایی و رؤیای آمریکایی ترجمه کرده‌اند. همچنین با تحلیل پالیمسست‌های فرهنگی برآمده از این ترجمه‌ها‌ نشان می‌دهیم که چگونه می‌توان دیالکتیک هویتی سوژه‌های دیاسپورایی را رؤیت‌پذیر کرد. نتایج این تحلیل نشان می‌دهد که سیاست هویتی دیاسپورای ایرانی پس ‌از انقلاب امتداد همان سیاستی است که در دیاسپورای ایرانی پیش‌از انقلاب شاهد بودیم.

Drawing on the palimpsest metaphor, the present paper explores the practice of fiction writing by the Iranian diasporic writers to show the way they translate the process of their translation into diasporic subjects and the way this translation results in cultural palimpsests and accented literature. To this end, two Iranian diasporic writers belonging to per-revolutionary and post-revolutionary diaspora have been selected and their self-expression has been scrutinized from the perspective of identity politics by a close reading. They include Fereidoun Esfandiary and Firoozeh Dumas. An attempt has been made to show these diasporic writers translate the Iranian universe into a Kafkaesque universe and the American dream. Moreover, it has been shown that how the cultural palimpsests from these translations can be read to make visible the identity dialectics of the diasporic writers. This analysis indicates that the identity politics of the post-revolutionary Iranian diaspora the continuation of that of the pre-revolutionary diaspora.
