Abstract
In this article the main focus is to have an answer or answers for this critical question: Are the agenda-setting, image-making and one-way flow of information discourses in print media transiting towards audiences through the application of new information and communication technologies or not? And what is the impact of cyber journalism on the classic concept of freedom of expression? Although in the main research it has been attempted to see this discourse transition through four trends of the review of literature, sending questioners for prominent international scholars (Professor Yahya R. Karnalipour, Head of the Department of Communication and Creative Arts , Purdue University Calumet, professor Nora Paulothe director of the Institute for New Media Studies at the University of Minnesota, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Professor Mindy McAdams of the faculty of the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida, Professor Lawrence Pintak at the University of Michigan, a veteran of 25 years in journalism on four continents, nominated twice for Emmy awards and the winner of two Overseas Press Club citations for his Middle East coverage, Crawford Kilian who has written a lot of books and articles; current projects include two novels, a textbook revision, and articles for online journals, Ralph Berenger, Assistant professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at the American University in Cairo, Bertrand Pecquerie the Director of the World Editors Forum, Professor Vincent Mosco Canada Research Chair in Communication and Society, Department of Sociology, Queen s University and Neil Nemeth Associate Professor of Communication, Purdue University calumet who teaches the journalism courses), reviewing International resolutions and finally through Q methodology and qualitative research, here the results and findings are presented just from the last part.
