Abstract

This study deals with some major problems that are specially involved in conduct of social research in Iran. In response to the problem, a few points are elaborated in terms of both theory and research. iddiction to drugs. These families were selected by "sampling". Some of the achieved results prove that in addicted-father families: - The children neglect to honor their father; - They refuse to obey their father; - They are dissatisfied with their father's presence at home; - They are not grieved of their father's Jong absences; - Their associate to the gangs out of their homes; - They violence and aggressiveness are increased in comparison with those of the second group. On the other hand, the economical and supporting roles of the [addicted] fathers are weakened terribly; therefore, the children in problematic situations do not take their father in to account. The wives of the addicted men do also suffer the lack of their husbands' supports. They feel ashamed of their husbands in different situations. In addition, the rate of violence and aggressiveness among the principal elements of the father-addicted families is very high; therefore, the desire to ill-treatment and deviation among their children is very intense.
