Abstract

One of the issues of concern to social science thinkers, especially in recent decades, has been to pay attention to the agency of women in their daily lives. So far, many researchers and writers have written about women's agency, and many and diverse policy interventions have been used to realize women's agency, depending on the type of discourses governing societies. But little research has paid attention to the issue of the agency of Transhumance women. In many cases, the image of a Transhumance woman in the mind is in accordance with common stereotypes, an image associated with the lack of the concept of agency. But this is not always the case. This article is dedicated to describing the experience of agency and power from the perspective of Transhumance women. In this direction and for a deeper understanding, analytical concepts such as agency, resistance, gender division of labor and bargaining have been used. Using thematic analysis method, in-depth and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 Transhumance women of Chah Gholam Ali region in Zarand city. The findings indicate the extraction of two main categories with the title of realized agency and resistance as hidden agency, four subcategories including decision-making agency,
