The expansion of communication and information technologies has led to transition from industrial society to networked society. Internet folds geographical borders and forms a new society. In this society, different dimensions of life have changed including its political dimensions and electoral systems. Now presidential candidates and their partisans use various means for expressing their own electoral programs and platforms. The web space, one of these means because of being outside of power sphere, interactional activity, freedom from time and place suits this perpose well. In the ninth presidency election of Iran this means this essay, with the aim of considering the extent of news coverage in the ninth presidential election in the web space, studied the type of materials presented in the sites of Baztab, Rooydad, Emrooz, Using content analysis.

This study tries to show the comparative views of the students at Isfahan and Shahre-Kord Universities about Iran's four network television programs and productions. Isfahan and Shahre-Kord Universities are different in view of economical, cultural, social and geographical situations. Statistical community in this research includes all of students who studied in the two universities, during the years of 1382-1383. We have selected some variables such satisfaction of the two universities students from four network programs and productions. evaluation of the scientific contents of the four network television by students, the measure useness of students from four TV productions and programs. Also, we have applied survey method and made a questionaire for data collection and information and analysis data by K2 test. Some of the research results briefly show: - The university location has not any effect on students ideas about Four TV production. - All of the students have not positive attitudes towards Four TV programs and productions, so they use other sources for their necessary scientific informations. - Isfahan University students in comparison with Shahre-Kord University students use Four network TV production for their necessary informations more frequently. - The B.S students have more positive attitudes towards TV productions than M.S and Ph.D students in two Universities.

This article is a result of a research in order to investigate the relations of "structural openness perception (SOP) and RGT in frame of Robert Merton's reference group theory. Applying a new method named virtual-real comparative survey using two kinds of ordinary hard copy and electronic questionnaire is a kind of innovative in it. This article is the result of a participatory field study conducted in an earthquake stricken village of Bam area namely “Darbeh Bagh “ in the Khajeh Asgar rural zone, to find out the local community’s assessment of how villagers themselves as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations have managed the crisis after the earthquake. In this study Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) was employed as the major research methodology to elicit the ideas and solutions through participatory approaches for reconstructing the earthquake area proposed by the villagers. In addition to relying on participatory assessment techniques and using them, a general study on key concepts of disaster management was conducted in this project. According to the existing theoretical framework, disaster management is divided into the different stages include: readiness (mitigation), relief and rehabitation (response). Based on this theoretical pattern, theoretical issues related to community roles and residents' disaster management (in organizing, coordinating and planning activities) in above mentioned stages were investigated in this research project. For applying the research, concerning the current methods that are used in the group participatory negotiations, some discussions were done with the partnership of the facilitators (colleagues) on the research objectives, so they were asked to determine main issues, related questions and appropriate techniques in the workshop meetings After the facilitators' workshop meetings, a ten days period of research field activity begun with the participation of villagers. Findings of the community members’ analysis on disaster management and their assessment of involved institutions’ performance in earthquake are presented in this article.

This paper was conducted based on a field study of two border common small markets located in Sardasht and Piranshahr. Data gathering instruments were questionnaires and interviews, Along with observation techniques. Findings indicate that: Border common small markets have created new jobs directly and indirectly, although more from the latter type. Besides, they have had positive effect on job mobility. Establishment of border common small markets also has led to an increase in the household incomes of the region. Although these markets have not reversed the current growing rural migration trend, they have controlled informal economic sector. Furthermore, These markets have supplied goods in response to the demands of the other regions and provinces rather than the needs of the region's residents. Some welfare indicators related to nutrition, health, housing and the environment have rather been improved due to these markets. However, leisure time has been decreased. Although border common small markets have led slightly to increasing economic security, they have not influenced social security. The study concludes that because of the limited diffusion capacity, border common small markets can't help scattered villages in a short period of time.

Social capital is one of the key variables in social explanations. Hope for the future, particularly among young people, has paramount importance and social capital has an important role in raising the hope for the future. This study carried out to investigate the relationship between social capital and hope to the future among students of Yazd University. This survey study is practical in terms of content, cross-sectional, and extensive. The statistical population was all of Yazd University students in the academic year 2014-2015, who 374 people of them were selected and studied through stratified random sampling method. In this study, instrument was questionnaire and validity of the data collection tool was ensured through a content validity and the high Cronbach's alpha for the variables shown in the utility reliability of the research instrument (there was more than 0.7 regarding all the constructs). Data were analyzed by SPSS and Amos software's. The results showed there is not a significant difference between hope to future based on sex and field study. But there was a positive and significant relationship between social capital and hope to the future. Also, there was a significant positive relationship between the social trust, social norms and social network with hope to the future.

Drawing on the palimpsest metaphor, the present paper explores the practice of fiction writing by the Iranian diasporic writers to show the way they translate the process of their translation into diasporic subjects and the way this translation results in cultural palimpsests and accented literature. To this end, two Iranian diasporic writers belonging to per-revolutionary and post-revolutionary diaspora have been selected and their self-expression has been scrutinized from the perspective of identity politics by a close reading. They include Fereidoun Esfandiary and Firoozeh Dumas. An attempt has been made to show these diasporic writers translate the Iranian universe into a Kafkaesque universe and the American dream. Moreover, it has been shown that how the cultural palimpsests from these translations can be read to make visible the identity dialectics of the diasporic writers. This analysis indicates that the identity politics of the post-revolutionary Iranian diaspora the continuation of that of the pre-revolutionary diaspora.

One of the most important documents for the study of the goals and ideals of a revolution, among different documents of revolutions, is the messages and speechs of revolutionary leaders and ideologues. The aim of this paper is to study the goals of the Islamic revolution by content analysis of Imam Khomeini's speeches. In order to achieve this aim , 774 sentence of Saahifea - Noor (volumes 2-15: October 1977 - September 1981) were sampled and analyzed. Results show that from the viewpoint of Imam Khomeini, the most important goal was, cultural revival and reconstruction of Islam. The next most important goal was a political ones i.e. the downfall of Pahlavi regime and the constirueion of Islamic Republic. Furthermore , the comparision between Imam's viewpoints and the slogans ot the Islamic Revolution, analyzed by Panahi, shows that there good agreement among them. answered the questions. Having received the responses, statistical calculations were made by applying QUANAL Computer Software. The three types of interviewees (namely the professors, the journalists settled in Iran and the journalists living abroad) were divided into two categories; then the correlation coefficient between them was calculated in order to determine the degree of correlation between every interviewee with other interviewees. There were also calculated the weight amounts of interviewssa in Types 1 and 2, and Standard Grades (Z Scores) thereof using the given weight amounts. Finally, having analyzed the data, it was established that the interviewees primarily agree with Social Responsibility and Liberal Systems and that they oppose Authoritarian and Communist Media Systems. This is understood from the fact that that they have shown tendency towards enjoyment of liberal and non-governmental conditions. To put it another way, the desirable Media System for Afghanistan, according to 45 interviewees who filled in the questionnaire constituting the subject meatter of this research, is a combination of Social Responsibility and Liberal Systems and this result confirms the hypothesis of this research.

This research has been performed from the sociological point of view to inspect calling, naming and changing the names of some streets and pubic places, intending to clarify why some of the names which were selected after Islamic Revolution became so popular among the people and some others didn't. In Iran , in the most cities, the names were changed; but mostly after a few years they were forgotten. ls there any political motivation for the new names not being used (they were selected after Islamic Revolution), or there are other factors that caused the using of the previous names to become current. This research was done in 2001. After performing all feild studies and studying the map of the city, data were gathered through question sheets. The statistical society of the research (Universe) was Qom and also sample size were four hundred persons. According to the dissimilation culture in different areas of the city, the samples were chosen randomly. In the current historical period, understanding sexual relationships is not possible, unless they are contemplated upon through the history of the formation of modern society, the alteration of the concept of love, relationship and intimacy. Thus, the present paper seeks to answer the following question: how do Tehran middle class women as modern women understand their sexual relationship with their spouses, and how do they define it? The concepts of Giddens’ pure relationship, Bauman’s liquid love, and Foucault’s sexuality history were used to explain the data. In-depth interviews were conducted with 28 middle class women of Tehran in 2018-2019, and the requirements were the age limit of 45 and having been married for at least five years. The results showed that the women define the sexual relationship with their husbands as female marital duties, dealing with spouses, an opportunity to control their spouses, a way to secure marital life, and mutual intimacy and pleasure. The constrains of meeting this desire were male sexual dysfunctions, the husbands’ lack of knowledge regarding proper sexual relationships, feeling frustrated in the relationship due to early marriages, lack of verbal communication, and the husbands’ extramarital relationships. Women’s compensation mechanisms include financial compensation, and extra-marital relations.

The functions of religion and the moral and behavioral teachings stemming from it with regards to the qualitative maintenance and promotion of the institution of family has been accepted by the majority of sociologists. The purpose of this study is to identify the extent to which the couples of Bandarabbas are oriented towards the Quran’s teachings regarding family and marital relations, and also to study the correlation of the aforementioned orientation with the variables of satisfaction in life, emotional relations, sexual relations, espousal incompatibility, and semantic formation of gender. These variables have been deemed important in the theories and studies related to women and family. The subjects of the study are 400 married people living in the city of Bandarabbas who were selected based on a probability cluster sampling method. According to research findings, the average of orientation toward the Quran’s teachings regarding family and espousal relations in the sample was 77%. Research hypotheses testing showed a significant relationship between the aforementioned variable with the other variables of the research. Furthermore, there is a direct significant relationship between family and espousal relations and satisfaction in life, emotional relations, and sexual relations. In contrast, this orientation has an inverse significant relationship with the variables of espousal relations and espousal incompatibility. The conclusion of the study is based on the theoretical analysis of the observed correlations.

The present study is essentially a research in the field of social psychology and studies the status of youth value orientations in Sanandaj (18-29), which reflects the transcendental and desirable goals and their priorities and beliefs in relation to identity styles. The research method is descriptive-analytic, correlative, applied, survey and cross-sectional (second half 2018). The sample size was 345 and sampling was done by multi-stage cluster sampling. The empirical findings indicated a significant and positive relationship between the style of information identification with the dimensions of oppenness to change and the index of success in the self-enhancing dimension of cultural values; a normative style with a conservative dimension and finally, the style of diffused identification with cultural values in relation to emphasis on individual interests such as values related to self-improvement. Theoretically, it can be pointed out that, despite the focus on distinct aspects, there is a kind of theoretical and content integrity and overlapping hypotheses, especially in relation to human motivations in these two typologies (identity styles and cultural values) and theoretical discussion in direction of the self, identity and culture. Such a situation can most often be construed as Weberian debate as "selective relationship" (Saboori, 2009) between identity styles and cultural values.

A historical review of the literature on indigenous knowledge indicates a gradual broadening of this field, starting from technical indigenous knowledge onto the cultural and social values and practices of local communities. This could be in part attributed to the increasing awareness of social scientists of the socio-cultural roots of today's environmental and other development - related problems. Of course, the research and application of the local technical know-how and the socio-cultural indigenous knowledge will continue for a long time to come, but the latter holds the promise of having profound impacts on modern education, epistemology and development of new human settlements. Hence, an increasing number of social scientists believe that these impacts will no doubt bring about a global mind change. This global change in perspective will surely include a new approach to science that is more holistic and inclusive.

This article is a summary of a thesis of MS in political science in which the outcomes of a content analysis research have been presented. In this research, channel J news of IRIB has been analyzed to introduce structure and method of political news broadcasting. In this age, audiences do not access facts directly. Mass media, especially TV, play an important role in this field. In the process of news and information presentation, the impacts of countless factors will cause news distrotion; thus, as we observe, one single event may be reported differently or even adversely. What leads to distrotion of facts is biased news selection and broadcast. Now, it is undrcstandable why most communication thinkers know inpartiality of myths. The outcomes of this study as well, indicate biased selecting and broadcasting domestic and international political news of channel 1, i.e. domestic political stories are positively and international political stories arc negatively reported. In conclusion, channel J news give an image of two different worlds; on one hand, stability and regularity of domestic ruling situation, and on the other hand, unstability and irregularity of international ruling situation.

Studying of suburbanation problems and difficulties is the endpoint of this research. Suburbanite is a person living in the suburb of a city but is not absorbed by the social and economic system of that socity. The suburbanites have migrated to earn a better life; but because of their poverty, lack of proficiency and education, they could not have been absorbed by the cities economic sections. So, they have to live in the suburbs. They are poor people who deal with complications, like shortage of sufficient health care, moral deviations, and unemployment. This survey tries to pay attention to different economic, social and political aspects of the subject and to deal with it in a new concept. This research was done in survey method.
In variant hypothesis, suburbanation and previous job were chosen as independent variables and social, political and cultural participations, moral deviation, unemployment and child labour were chosen as dependent variables. The data of These hypothesis have been analyzed by SPSS software in unparametric method and the coefficients of Gamma and phi kendal, spearman have been used to define the correlation power and also T'-test methed and chi squar to confirm or reject the hypothesis.
This reserch shows a relation between suburbanation and social - political and cultural participation, moral deviation, unemployment and previous job but not with child labour.

In recent years and with the growth of the Internet and online social technologies, many questions have been raised regarding the type, quality and extent of social activities in the world based on social networks. Considering the influence of online social networks on recent elections from the year 2009 until now and its following incidents, the present study aims to evaluate the effect of the social capital present in online networks on the citizenship culture of the citizens of Sanandaj. The method of the study was that of a correlational descriptive research and it employed a survey method. The questionnaire was comprised of Dmitri Williams’ standard questions and a researcher-made questionnaire for citizenship culture which had appropriate validity and reliability and was distributed to 400 respondents with the method of multistage cluster sampling. Findings show a medium of the citizenship culture average, and the focus has more been on civic engagement. From the components of civic engagement, the dimensions of attitude and belief were more regarded by the citizens rather than the components of behavior or action. The inferential results also show that the most important dimension of social capital influencing the citizenship culture is the bridging social capital present in the online space.

The issue of sustainable development, in the recent decades has been core argument. The guiding principle of sustainable development is development that meets the needs of present without conpromising the ability of future generations to meet thier own needs. Sustainable development recognises the interdependence of environmental, social and economic systems and promotes equality and justice through the empowerment of people a sense of and giving them global citizenship. According to the idea of sustainable development, development needs equality between parts of socio-economical systems. In fact equality and sustainability are two aspect of a single concept.
In this paper we discuss the components of sustainable development including, people, resource, space, and the role and importance of these components in the development process.

This paper is an ethnographic account of lranianmigrants celebration of Norooz (Iranian New Year) in Britain. It tries to pose a new theoretical approach to understand Norooz in the context of modern world. This theoretical approach has been explained in the first section of the paper. Other sections examine the global dimensions of Norooz and its historical context since the ancient time to contemporary period. Then, we offer an ethnographic description of the celebration of Norooz in Britain. The last two sections are dedicated to analyzing the cultural functions of Norooz in the context of modern world, globalization and migration. I have tried to explain how and to what extend Norooz has changed and developed in the context of globalization and mediazation. My general argument is that Norooz is a very flexible ritual and has been able to accommodate itself in all historical changes and contexts throughout the history. Iranian migrants in Britain and other countries celebrate Norooz to present their Iranian identity and to communicate with their children through Norooz. Also, Norooz has many economic and cultural functions for the migrants. I have in this paper demonstrated that the celeberation of Norooz has changed in Iran too.

Investigating citizens' political attitudes is an issue with a special place in society because attitudes are the prelude to individuals' formation of behaviors and social actions. In this regard, a factor that seems to influence citizens' preferences and political attitudes during elections is moral foundations. In this regard, this study tries to use the moral foundations theory (MFT) (Haidt, 2001) and its impact of such foundations on the political orientations of the citizens. The statistical research population included Isfahan citizens in the spring of 2017. Via a cluster sampling technique, 599 citizens were selected as the sample size and studied using the survey method. Research results showed that while values of authority and sanctity lead citizens to turn to principled political groups, rising scores of the moral value of fairness and justice have led to a tendency toward reformism. Finally, the results indicate that, unlike the theoretical literature, the values of care and loyalty did not significantly affect the citizens' political preference.

The aim of this article is to examine the effect of social, demographic and familial factors on delinquent behavior of high school students. In other words, we attempt to find an answer to this basic question: Why do some students commit delinquent behavior? Accordingly, the variables and hypotheses have been developed from three major theoretical perspectives, that is, strain, social control and sub-cultural theories to answer this question. In this study, the data needed to test hypotheses has been obtained throuth self-reported questionnaire and multistage stratified random sampling method from a sample of 1200 high school students in Bushehr province. The inferential statistical techniques such as T-test, on way analysis of variance, correlation coefficients (Pearson, Spearman), simple and multiple regression (stepwise method) were used in the data analysis by the SPSS. The results showed that such variables as the parents, education, student's educational state, family income, student's attachment to his/her family and school, student's piety, and student's religious background and parents control on their children had inverse and significant relation to the student's delinquent behavior with the confidence level of 95 percent. The results showed that such variables as student's attachment and friendshop with his delinquent friends, and family domain had positive and significant relation to his delinquent behavior with the confidence level of 95 percent. The results also showed tha such variables as age had no significant relation to the student's delinquent behavior on the confidence level of 95 pervent. Finally, variabels such as parent's occupational state, family structure, sex, school grade and the field of study had a significant relation to his/her delinquent behavior on the confidence level of 95 percent.
